The pool was nice and clean, and the kayaking on the lagoon was an enjoyable experience. The hotel staff was friendly and hospitable. The location, being close to the ocean, made day trips to popular destinations easy and convenient.
The food was not up to our expectations and didn't have much variation. The rooms had a basic design and could have been cleaner.

Ruwala Resort Etalai is situated in a stunning location right in front of the Kalpitiya lagoon, offering guests breathtaking views of the serene water. the resort is conveniently located close to the St Anne's shrine, allowing guests to easily visit this popular attraction. For nature lovers, there is the opportunity to explore the nearby Wilpattu National Park by boat.
Some guests have mentioned a minor mosquito problem in the rooms if the doors are left open after darkness.

The chalet I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. the outdoor terrace provided a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunrise views. the resort grounds were well-maintained, peaceful, and offered a sense of tranquility.
The chalet's bathroom could benefit from some upgrades. the lack of TV in the room was not a major issue, but it would have been nice to have one for entertainment.
